Paediatric and Outdoor First Aid
This is a 16 hour (two day) First aid course, which blends two, level three first aid qualifications.
Outdoor first aid is designed to give the right first aid skills to anyone who works in an outdoor environment. It is a practical, hands on course which is valid for 3 years from qualification. The course covers adult basic life support in the outdoors; limb injuries; head, neck or torso injuries; medical conditions or sudden illness and incidents involving activity or environmental factors. This course is particularly well suited to Forest School practitioners.
Paediatric first aid designed for those who have an interest in child and baby Basic Life Support governed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or OFSTED. This course covers life-threatening conditions including CPR, bleeding control and choking.
These courses are regulated by Ofqual and has HAVC accreditation. These blended courses are ideal for those needing to complete their two-day first aid component required by the Forest School level three qualification (OCN or BTec), for those already qualified who need to renew their qualification and for other professionals working with young children outdoors.
Upon successful completion of each course, you will be awarded an FAA Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) and a FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) and these certificates are valid for three years from qualification.
Working hours for the course are from 09:15 – 17:00 daily
